Pipa Croci was a truly singular company, an ambitious artisanal project seeking to offer its customers a unique standard of quality. For the production of their pipes, they only used the most highly regarded parts of Italian briar, the plateau, which had been previously aged. To emphasize this characteristic, they only produced smooth pieces without lacquers or varnishes, where the quality of the wood, the beauty of its grain, and the absence of defects were clearly visible. Later on, they also manufactured some sandblasted and rusticated pieces under the Giani Trentini label.
All Pipa Croci pieces are entirely handcrafted, one by one, using their own set of shapes that give each pipe a character intimately linked to the brand. Although you may find similar pieces in shape and size, you can also discover subtle differences that make each one unique, something challenging to find in a company that produced over 3000 pieces annually during its short period of peak production.
Pipa Croci was founded in 1983 by Paolo & Gianni Croci in Mantua, Lombardy. In 2009, it was acquired by the Molina Group, which discontinued its production shortly thereafter.
