L´Anatra Sabbiata

L'Anatra pipes are made in Italy by Massimo Palazzi and Andrea Pascucci. The two craftsmen use briar wood from the Southern Italian region of Calabria. According to them, this Italian briar is the finest raw material worldwide, being lighter and featuring a more attractive grain than briar from other regions. Their brand's full name is "L'Anatra dalle Uova d'Oro" (literally, "The Golden-Egged Duck"). Their creations are handmade, ensuring each piece is unique. All L'Anatra pipes come with an acrylic stem and are categorized on an egg-scale (from 1 to 3). Exceptional pieces bear labels like "Fiammata," "Nirvana," or "Gigante."

Since 2016, when Massimo retired, they handed over the L'Anatra brand to Maurizio Fraternale, who remains the owner to this day, as well as Ser Jacopo. It was at this time that Andrea Pascucci took ownership of the Fiamma di Re brand.
